The talented and knowledgeable staff at Ralston Architects supports the design process by rendering color elevations, site plans and floor plans to help clients visualize their planned structure. The depiction of exterior details, the placement of a building on a site or traffic flow within the space illustrates how well the structure's design works, or what elements need to be fixed. This important step may reduce the number of changes to a building's design after construction has begun: for example, exterior siding, roofing, trim, and stonework materials and colors are laid out in various combinations to determine which look best suits a client's vision for the structure. The client can also use these renderings as marketing material: for presentation to the community or various planning boards, or to promote the structure before construction has been completed.

In addition, floorplans, sections and elevations can be connected into a tangible computer structure through 3D Modeling. Height, width and depth of new or reconfigured space is delineated for better understanding of how a structure will meet programming needs and spatial requirements. Clients can see how spaces will be affected by the repositioning of walls or windows, without having to wait for construction to begin on a building. In addition, if budget constraints necessitate the trimming of certain structural elements, a computer model can easily show how the changes would affect the overall appearance or feel of the building.
