A steeply sloped 50 foot wide lot provided a challenge for the design of this family beach house. The site overlooks the ocean and Neakanie Mountains to the west and north, and old growth rain forest to the east.

The outdoor living spaces on each side of the home are cocooned by the site, yet offer spectacular retreats to enjoy life on the coast.

The living area on the top (3rd) floor offers sweeping views to the ocean through the tree tops. Family bedrooms, office and work out rooms are on the second level which afford no less spectacular of a view. The lowest level, buried to the west and open to the woods on the east, contains the garage and cozy separate guest quarters.

Interior finishes are warm woods with light fabrics to brighten any rainy beach day.
