This remodel project created a new entry walkway and foyer. The steps lead from the base of a new trellis through a series of landings, past a prized japanese maple to an inviting new porch. Skylights in the porch roof keep the area bright and welcoming from both outside and in.

The theme of exposed beams is carried through from the exterior to the interior. The beams of the trellis are echoed in the uncovered trusses of the porch, and continue in the exposed ceilings of the foyer and adjoining hallways.
